Responsibility for the implementation of this declaration of principles is managed by the personally liable partners of Kesseböhmer Holding KG and the managing directors of the subsidiaries of Kesseböhmer Holding KG as well as the respective heads of the Kesseböhmer subsidiaries. This ensures that every area of the Kesseböhmer Group is aware of its own responsibility for respecting human rights and their day-to-day implementation.
The Kesseböhmer Group is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact. We have been committed to human rights from the very beginning. Our commitment is based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UN Guiding Principles) of the United Nations and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. We are also guided by the International Bill of Human Rights and the 1998 Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labor Organization. Our actions are characterized by strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Where local law does not provide full compliance with international human rights, we will always act in accordance with the higher standard for human rights. Where conflicts exist, we will comply with national law while seeking ways to uphold international human rights and act in accordance with the principles of the International Bill of Human Rights and the other frameworks and standards cited above.

We source our raw materials exclusively from suppliers who operate in a working environment that meets our standards. We monitor compliance with our standards, such as the ban on child labor. Our suppliers have also been informed about our standards and have confirmed that they comply with the principles of our standards, the Human Rights Charter and the requirements of our principles for responsible procurement. We do not tolerate child labor and contractually prohibit our suppliers from employing children. Our risk management policy requires us to take measures to further improve the conditions for the procurement of our raw materials in line with our high standards. We continuously review these monitoring processes and are constantly working to make them even more effective. We encourage our employees to report any violations of the aforementioned principles, policy statements and other regulations via the existing complaints or dispute resolution procedures. For this purpose, we have provided a reporting system on our web forms to report potential violations, in particular of this policy statement.
Our respect for human rights is an integral part of the Kesseböhmer Group and its corporate code of conduct.
Employees and managers receive training in these areas. The corresponding training courses on human rights are currently in preparation.
